What do you get as an OpEx Council member?
- Monthly Group Collaboration Sessions allow you to share best practices with other members of your Council, be exposed to the latest Operational Excellence methods and concepts, confidentially discuss pressing issues impacting your company, and gain valuable insights to guide your progress.
Since sessions are hosted on a rotating basis at member companies’ locations, they typically start with a tour during which the host presents the organization’s best practices, progress, and challenges. After that, the Council Chair usually presents one or more new operational excellence methods or concepts that address previously identified needs. The session then moves into a candid dialogue between members on current – even sensitive – issues and challenges they are facing. Members leave the 4-6 hour session with crucial input that they can apply immediately to their own organizations.
- Quarterly Onsite Coaching Support from the highly experienced Council Chair is designed to ensure that every member stays focused and committed to the objectives and results they are driving toward. The sessions can be one-on-one, or can include additional leaders from the member’s company.
- Two-Day OpEx Leadership Workshop gives each new member a foundational understanding of key Operational Excellence concepts and the factors impacting success. Topics covered in this highly interactive workshop include:
- How to integrate OpEx into the existing organizational structure
- OpEx roles and responsibilities
- Improvement opportunity identification and valuation
- An interactive simulation providing first-hand understanding of the process that improvement teams execute, and the tools they apply
- Sponsorship of improvement projects
- Deployment metrics
- Deployment lessons learned and critical success factors
The workshop also provides the building blocks of a common language used within the monthly collaboration sessions.
- Belbin® Team Roles Profile is generated for each new member. The Belbin analysis and report – based on years of research by Dr. Merideth Belbin of Cambridge – improve members’ self-knowledge and understanding of themselves and teams. The newly gained insights that members apply to improve team performance within their own organizations, also help to maximize the effectiveness of each OpEx Council.
- Members-only Web Resources will provide access to the essentials of operational excellence – core systems, best practices and case studies, as well as the latest models and emerging applications. Downloadable tools and templates make it easy for members to apply these resources to their operations.
- Access to a Full Suite of Additional Low-Cost Training Workshops help infuse OpEx principles throughout the organization. The collaboration and coaching support that each member receives go a long way in helping their organization rapidly achieve and sustain the desired operational excellence results. Specialized training for members and others in their companies complete the process.
All employees of members’ companies are eligible to enroll in any or all of our best-in-class training offerings, at a fraction of the price paid by non-members. Each workshop is highly interactive, incorporating real-world examples and adult learning concepts to maximize retention.
